Areator Buying tips

For areas less than 5,000 sq m, a self-propelling aerator is best. These machines have a high productivity rate and a coverage of between 2,500 and 4,000 sq m per hour, depending on which model and working width you choose.

For larger areas, tow-behind aerators are the best. These are also available with narrower working widths and are excellent for towing behind a ride-on mower. Smaller, tow-behind units like these provide high productivity, even in tight areas.

Things to keep in mind when choosing an Aerator:

  • The machine should have a durable and strong design.
  • A strong, reliable, high-spec engine increases efficiency.
  • Removable weights make the machine more stable and easier to transport.
  • The machine should be easy to manoeuvre.
  • Ergonomically designed handle facilitates operation.
  • Folding handlebar is handy when transporting and storing the machine.
